Youth

Church School currently does not meet. We are seeking volunteers to lead the children during the school year in the undercroft. The children process downstairs during the first hymn and return upstairs at the announcements.

The stained glass at the top of the stairs: The window was given by the Church School of an earlier era. What date is on that window?  We are still researching that – maybe the 1930s.

Tuesday Afternoons during the school year the children gather for an after school program of bible exploration including music, games and creativity. Each week there will be a focus on a bible verse. We meet from 3:15 to 4:10pm. These Bible Explorers are a group of inquisitive and energetic young people who are discovering there are fun and exciting ways to learn about the bible. The program runs in five week blocks, each one with a unique theme and way of looking at the bible stories we read. We’ve learned about people like Joseph of Arimathaea who gave his tomb to Jesus — but only for three days — He is Risen!

All kids from 1st to 6th grade are welcome. Children under 1st grade age must bring an adult with them. There is no fee but an annual registration is required. Older youth are invited to help with program leadership.

The pictures below show some of our activities. Come join us!
